Since this cherished finger print ornament idea was created some years back I do not have pictures of the process. But, it’s super easy to do with just 5 steps to create this cherished finger print ornament idea!

Instructions

Step 1: Squeeze a quarter size amount of acrylic paint onto paper plates

Step 2: Dip the child’s finger into a paint color and gently press onto the bulb. Randomly place fingerprints around the bulb, alternating the colors.

Step 3: Wait for paint to dry. Then take a sharpie and draw a squiggly line around the top of each fingerprint. Be sure to make it look similar to what strung Christmas lights look like. Remember to leave a small area above the fingerprint.

Step 4: Using a sharpie draw a lightbulb topper that connects the fingerprint to the strand.

Step 5: (Optional) Add your child’s name and the year along the top of the Christmas bulb.

DIY Tip: If you want to give them as handmade gifts to family and friends, make sure to make one for your own Christmas tree.
