Spring is the perfect time to add a refreshing pop of color into your home decor style. Take a cue from one of these 3 easy Cricut projects using Target Dollar Spot dish towels and a simple natural wood-shaped house. Just add vinyl and you’re done!

It’s so refreshing when spring arrives and all the trees and flowers are in bloom. Is it just me or do you get inspired simply by the season too? I find spring is a very renewing sort of season. It’s time to shake off the dust of winter and revel in all that is possible.

That is exactly the feeling I wanted my new spring Cricut projects to convey. Naturally, in spring I think of flowers blooming, lighter colors and even strawberries. Then I found the perfect Cricut blanks at both Target Dollar Spot and Hobby Lobby; I guess you could say it was kismet.

Summer is almost here so let’s get these Spring Cricut craft projects done!

3 Easy Cricut Spring Home Decor Ideas

When I said these projects were easy I meant it. I used images from Cricut Design Space, either transfer tape or an EasyPress and my projects were finished.

Target Dollar Spot Dish Towels

One of the easiest and most simple ways to add some Spring decor to your home is by shopping the Target Dollar Spot. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve shopped there for budget-friendly home decor pieces.

I especially love adding Cricut vinyl to their dish towels sets! Just like I did with the DIY Dollar Spot Kitchen Hand Towels Using Cricut EasyPress. It’s so easy to add a bit of seasonal decor to your home when you shop Target Dollar Spot!

I’ll admit the pink floral towel was a breeze to create; but the green stripe one was a little more challenging because it was a multi-layer design. Everything went fairly smoothly until I got to the line that reads, “pick your own”. The vinyl letters didn’t fully adhere and I had to go back in a do a little vinyl surgery to get it fixed correctly.

In the end it came out perfectly…until I realized that whole line wasn’t even centered! Ugh. I worked so hard on this one towel but, I do still love how it looks and will proudly display it in my home! I want to share these mishaps with you because not all crafts are perfect.

Hobby Lobby Natural Wood-Shaped House

While I do love adding seasonal color into my home decor; there are, at times, where I prefer just a simple clean look. That’s exactly what this little project gave me. But boy did this Cricut Design Space image challenge me!

When you choose an intricate image you do so knowing that the smaller you make the image, the more challenging it will be to weed it all out. As you can see…this one most definitely challenged me!

The letters in the “spring” phrase were supposed to be put directly under the “hello” phrase. But I didn’t look at my project in Cricut Design Space before slapping it down and well…what’s done is done. There are also some leaves that just didn’t make it.

I could spend hours picking out all the flaws but you know what? Our projects don’t have to be perfect (or at least that’s what I keep telling myself)! These spring home decor goodies are for my home and I’m okay with it because they are just up for a short time.

The good news is that I could most certainly use this same wood piece again for summer simply by flipping it over and adding new vinyl. How’s that for recycling!
