Cricut Vinyl Snowflake Peppermint Candy Jar Gifts
In today’s post I share another budget-friendly Cricut project that doubles as a great Christmas gift! You can use this vinyl project on virtually any glass jar. So let’s get started on creating these SWEET Cricut Vinyl Snowflake Peppermint Candy Jar Gifts!

I have to say I’m a little obsessed with these adorable snowflake peppermint candy jars! I created four of them, one each, for my best friends as a Christmas gift. Any Cricut project that involves snowflakes…count me in!
You’ve no doubt heard about how no two snowflakes are alike? I just love that fact! It makes me feel like none of these Christmas candy jar gifts were alike either. Which makes them all the more special to gift and the candy sweeter to eat!

The hardest part of this vinyl craft was choosing which snowflake designs I liked best for my glass jar wrap! Once I was able to narrow down my snowflake choices and cut the jar wrap, the project went smoothly and quickly.
I found the glass candy jars at the Dollar Tree, which makes them super budget-friendly! But you can use any glass jar of any size. You would just adjust your snowflake setup in Design Space for the size you need.

Snowflake Peppermint Candy Jar Details
When you are pressed for time and really need a quick and easy Christmas gift, these Snowflake Peppermint Candy Jars are perfect! With just a few supplies and a little Cricut machine know-how and you’ll have these whipped up in no time. Plus they also make great co-worker gifts as well!

1
Create A Glass Jar Wrap
For this Cricut project I used three different snowflake images. I measured the glass jar which was 13″ diameter x 4″ high. This is an important step because the first thing you want to do in Cricut Design Space is create a box that is the exact measurements of the glass jar.
Next I selected my snowflake images and then randomly placed the snowflakes into that boxed area. I resized each snowflake to fit within that bound box and each one was sized differently. The key is to keep your snowflakes within that box because that box is what will ultimately create your glass jar wrap.

2
Cut and Apply Design
Depending on the size of your Cricut project and the number of jar wraps you are cutting, you could put them all on one mat. To do this, you would simply duplicate your project in Design Space (see the image above) and cut on one mat.
Project Tip: Not all jars are created the same. Be sure to cut extra sized individual snowflakes. That way you could fill in any blank space on the jar with a snowflake.
Before cutting the vinyl be sure you have the correct size mat selected, especially if you intended to use a longer mat (12″ x 24″). Also note that you do use more vinyl because of all the negative space that you weed out between the snowflake images. Also keep in mind, the smaller the snowflake…the harder it will be to weed.

3
Fill Candy Jar
The next FUN part of this project is filling the candy jar with goodies and sweets! The possibilities are endless for sweets to fill these jars. I opted for red peppermint hard candy because they are so quintessentially a Christmas and/or winter candy (to me anyway).
These snowflake candy jars would also look great with colorful ribbon candy in them!
If you plan to give as a gift, see #4 below for additional gifting tips. Or you could keep this Snowflake Peppermint Candy Jar for yourself and use in a Christmas or winter decor vignette. If you go with the latter be sure to check out the Wood Snowflake Tray With Cricut Vinyl post. It’s a perfect complement to this project!

4
Add Finishing Touches
In case you missed it in the picture under Step #3, I decided to add a finishing touch to my project. I added another single white vinyl snowflake design to the lid. This is completely optional but I do love how it completed my project.
The galvanized metal lid measures 2.5″ in diameter.
If you were gifting this candy jar, you could also add a Christmas ribbon around the top of the jar along with a custom gift tag. Since I was gifting these with a Christmas gift bag full of handmade gifts, I opted to not add a ribbon.

These Snowflake Peppermint Candy Jars would also look amazing on someone’s desk, right?! There are just so many ways to use these candy jars. How would you use them? Drop me a comment I’d love to hear your idea!
