The first ever Rochester Planner Workshop was held this past July at the beautiful Rochester Brainery and I was one of the lucky 66 women in attendance! It was an amazing workshop and it was so wonderful to meet all the local ladies who love to plan.

Since starting my first business in 2000, all my research as a female entrepreneur said to “find my tribe”. To be honest, it’s sixteen years later and I still wasn’t exactly sure who was ‘my tribe’. That is, until, I attended the Planner Workshop!

I’ve always been a planner and list maker. I’m most at peace when I can see what I need to do and then the feeling of accomplishment when I am able to cross that off of my to-do list! Over the past few years, I’ve strayed away from planning and I became the queen of post-it notes -every. where. Of which I’m sure 90% of what was on them never got done.

When I came across the Happy Planner and decided to get organized again I discovered the act of planning has changed so much since I strayed. It’s even better now! It’s way more creative (and that is totally up my alley!). Planning has also become a connection activity -something all of us women like to do.

From the moment I first arrived I was busting at the seams with excitement, there was so much creativity going on!!

The name board has to be hands-down the most creative name board I’ve ever seen! Even after all the attendees arrived and the board was empty of names, the “plan” letters in wood and metal (at the base) offered up the inspiration for which we all came. To PLAN.

I was even more super-excited to meet Nicole from Lemon Fresh Lettering because I had it set in my mind if a calligrapher was there, I so much wanted to have them letter my name into on of my Happy Planners. Gorgeous isn’t it?! I’ve got another special request for her!

Erin Condren Sponsor

Aside from the excitement of meeting fellow planners and well….planning!…there were so many wonderful sponsors of this amazing event. Here Erin Condren stickers meets my Happy Planner (and I think I liked it!). {lol} I absolutely loved the EC Classic Edition 2 sticker book of metallics, quotes and inspirational messages on gorgeous colors and some with the wildly popular watercolor look.

Although I’m a Happy Planner girl, I will admit to {secretly} checking out the EC planners. I’m loving the plum lace with black coils, the life she loved with gold coil or the life in bloom with platinum coil. If I really had to choose, I’d hands-down choose the plum lace (since it will look fabulous with my soon-to-be new purple amethyst Vera Bradley tote bag)!!

You could tell that a lot of work, care and attention to details, as well as, efforts to bring in some spectacular sponsors went into this event. I know I speak for all my fellow planner friends when I say we are so very appreciative to all the coordinators, sponsors, guest speakers and to Norah for hosting the event.

Our gift bags were overflowing with so many fantastic gifts! A very special THANK YOU to all the wonderful sponsors!!
