Easily Create A Memory Keeping Photo Journal Using a Big Notebook by Happy Planner. You can choose to just add photos and journaling right onto the dotted lined paper or add in a memory journal extension pack to include more special moments.

I’ve done memory keeping, in some fashion, for as long as I can remember. Pictures and documenting them has always been important to me; even more so after going through a period of what seemed like endless losses.

Memory keeping is known by a lot of references, such as scrapbooking, memory planning, photo journaling and more. But the key function remains the same…capturing memories and moments in time.

I love using my Classic Happy Planner monthly spread to record a memory a day. I’ve since ventured into memory keeping in a BIG Happy Planner. I especially love adding in their memory journal extension packs!

The Happy Planner memory journal extension packs work great because the pages are designed to give you guidance and inspiration to help you get started. All you have to do is print the pictures and journal in your memories!

I should note that this Happy Planner Big Notebook does not come with the “memories” wording on the cover. But you can certainly customize your cover like I did, just keep reading to get all the details.

Create A Memory Keeping Photo Journal

The Happy Planner does have a line of memory keeping photo journals that are ready to go. At the time of this project, I wanted to use a BIG Happy Planner Memory Photo Journal but they only had extension packs. So what did I do?

I created my own BIG Memory Keeping Photo Journal using a BIG Happy Planner Notebook and the Happy Memory Keeping Farmhouse Big Memory Journal Extension Pack.

This Happy Memory Keeping Farmhouse Extension pack includes:

• 4 Unlabeled Dividers
• 1 Pocket Folder
• 2 Sticker Sheets
• Preprinted Designs and Templates

So you get a lot in this extension pack! The nice thing about having unlabeled dividers is you can set them to be whatever you want. You can separate your memory pages by family, by celebration, by kid or just about any label that suits you.

My Cover Personalization

Since the Happy Planner notebooks are just a plain print image, in this case florals; I wanted to give my memory keeping photo journal a little personalization. That’s when I pulled out my Cricut machine!

I used my favorite script font, Great Vibes; along with removable vinyl in a light pink. The vinyl I found at Hobby Lobby and it was the closest vinyl color to the pale pink discs that were on the notebook.

You can DIY your own Planner Ideas with Cricut on virtually any cover, just like I did for the Happy Planner Caregiver Notebook Setup.

The best part of using a disc-system is that as your memory pages grow all you have to do is swap out the mini discs for classic or expanders. It’s that easy!
