3 Dog Scrapbook Page Ideas Capturing Memories
Don’t shy away from capturing memories in a 12×12 scrapbook format. It may seem daunting to look at such a large page to fill up. So in this post I share 3 unique and refreshing 12×12 scrapbook page ideas for capturing those pet memories. Now let’s get started and create those 12×12 memories!

In honor of National Dog Day held annually on the 26th day of August, I wanted to share with you some of my pet memory pages. I’ve recorded all of our pets’ memories in a variety of ways such as in a Classic Happy Planner, travelers notebook journaling as well as, in the traditional 12×12 scrapbook style.
I’ll be honest with you that I never really got into the 12×12 scrapbook format. That was until I saw the April 2022 Meadow kit from Cocoa Daisy. This kit released in the month we lost our 18 year old fur-baby, Lucy. As you can imagine I was devastated. But I turned my sorrow and loss into making sure I memorialized her in the pages of my journal.

You are probably already familiar with my journal pages from A Dogs Love Pawprint Art Journal Page Using Paper Napkins. That’s where I started my memory keeping but with this kit I decided to give the 12×12 format a try. Mostly because I loved the playful pug (dog) theme of the Meadow kit.
I’ve used this kit for both 12×12 scrapbook layouts as well as travelers notebook memory pages. After losing a pet, sitting down to create some pet loss memory pages is really very cathartic. While it won’t erase the sadness, remembering those times with your pup (or cat) helps to heal the heart…just a little.

3 Dog Scrapbook Page Ideas Capturing Memories
All of the scrapbook pages in this post were created using just the April 2022 Meadow kits. The best part is because I bought more than just the travelers notebook kit I still have ample kit leftovers so I can create more!

Cozy Dog Scrapbook Layout
Honestly, I have to say that having a fully curated creative kit really helps in getting started with memory keeping. The only hard part of this whole page was picking what elements to add to it and the actual layout. Listed below are the kit elements used in this creative layout.
- 12×12 scrapbook paper
- Adhesive-backed die cuts
- Chipboard stickers
- Enamel glitter raindrops
- XL alpha die cut stickers
- Adhesive pink daisy flower gems
This Cozy Dog scrapbook page was inspired by our dog’s love of being cozy and being a couch-potato. Lucy loved to snuggle into blankets, get behind our pillows and just relax on the couch. She was kind of a lazy-bones!

Rainbow Bridge Dog Scrapbook Layout
Losing a pet is never easy. To this day, I still haven’t finished all my memory keeping projects regarding our fur-baby, Lucy. I want to finish. Most times it feels hard to revisit that loss. But I will finish them! Listed below are the kit elements used in this creative layout.
- 12×12 scrapbook paper
- Alpha stickers
- Rub-on transfers
- Memory keeping sticker quotes
- Adhesive pink heart gems
This scrapbook layout was inspired by the actual Pawprints Left By You Rainbow Bridge Poem we received when we picked up her ashes. I created a film-strip style photo collage and printed it on my photo printer. I loved the idea of the many faces of Lucy! Mostly because she was NOT a fan of getting her picture taken.

You Are My Sunshine Dog Wings Scrapbook Layout
The 3rd and final scrapbook page is by far one of my most favorite! It all started with one perfect picture of Lucy and a Cricut die-cut set of angel wings. Listed below are the kit elements used in this creative layout.
- 12×12 scrapbook paper
- Adhesive-backed die cuts
- Enamel glitter dots
- Blue puffy alpha stickers
- Stamp set dotted lines for journaling
This scrapbook layout was inspired by, literally, the best photo we ever took of Lucy! It was also the only good picture of her! It wasn’t until she neared the end of her life, where she became partially blind, that she wasn’t able to tell when we pointed the camera at her. I’m so glad we were able to get this picture of her…she’s simply adorable! This page was created after she had passed so I got the idea to do a set of angel wings. I truly love how this whole page came out.
Adopt. Don’t Shop.

Also in honor of our rescued pets I want to take this moment to raise awareness of adopting a rescued pet waiting in the shelter. There are so, so many waiting. Please adopt.
