DIY Cricut Jar Labels For Valentine’s Sweets And Snacks
February is the month of love which means lots of sweets! If you have a sweet tooth and need a way to organize those delicious treats then you definitely don’t want to miss this post! I’m sharing an easy, budget-friendly way to label your candy jars!
We’re all pretty familiar with organizing our food using pantry labels. Well, making these labels for sweets and snacks is pretty much the same idea. In my craft room office I have a stand-up work bench and on it is my pink Keurig coffee maker. I like to keep some sweet treats available for when I just need that little sugar kick!

So, of course I just had to stalk my local Target Dollar Spot! I’ve always loved a good deal and when you pair that with a Cricut cutting machine you get a beautiful, well-organized home; and you can’t beat the budget friendly price!
Although this post is being shared after Valentine’s Day, I still wanted to share it with you as inspiration. Plus, a lot of the times these stores will still have Valentine’s Day products available on clearance. So you just might be able to score the same jars I did for this Cricut project.
Jar Labels Materials
- Jars of choice (see details of each jar for where I picked up mine)
- Cricut Permanent Glossy Premium Vinyl White
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- Cutting mat, weeder, and scraper
- Transfer Tape Strong Grip
- Cricut Design Space Font: BFC Farmhouse Christmas (love this font!)
I don’t have many how-to photos for this Cricut craft, but it’s pretty straightforward.
First you will cut the vinyl using your Cricut machine then weed out the negative space. Don’t forget to weed out the negative bits inside each letter like B and O.
Then use transfer tape to transfer the label off the backing paper and onto your jars.
Easy peasy!
Sweet Treats Jar
This jar is perfect for just about anything! I’ve used delicious red strawberry Twizzlers candy in my jar because it’s a tall jar…about 8-1/2″ tall. But you could put in it honey sticks, candy canes, conversation heart candies…even small creamer tubs (for your craft room coffee maker!).
I can’t remember where I purchased this jar from but I believe it may have been Home Goods. You can usually find me at Dollar Tree, Home Goods, Marshalls, Target or just about any craft store. I love the hunt of a good find.
This candy jar or storage jar (as it was labeled) already had the heart images on it. All I added was the “sweet treats” vinyl jar label and lid decal. I cut the words out in one cut but then separated them to adhere to the jar. I wanted to be sure to get a good placement of them.
After I finished with the label I just felt the wood lid looked bare. So I added a sweet kiss lips vinyl decal. It was the perfect finishing touch to this candy jar!
Heart Topped Glass Jar Canisters
I’ll preface this Cricut project with the notation that I had purchased these jar canisters from Target Dollar Spot in the prior year. So it is unlikely you’ll find these exact jars but there is always some kind of jars or canisters in the Dollar Spot that you could easily label for the same purpose.
I chose white vinyl for this jar label project because these jars are actually in my craft room. So I kind of wanted them to match my other craft room office decor. Although I used permanent vinyl I doubt I’d change what is inside them so I should be okay!
One benefit of using permanent vinyl is that it will hold up well when hand-washing your jars. For the two smaller jars I did reduce the size of the font for “marshmallows” because I didn’t want it to wrap too far around the jar.
While I love how the jars look I may not be totally finished with them…those heart toppers are grabbing my attention and begging me to do something to them!
