Welcome to Behind the Designs! My name is Stephannie and I live in Western New York. I’m excited you found my craft DIY, creative planning blog. It is my hope Behind the Designs will make you laugh, inspire you to start planning, get your craft on, finish a project, get you motivated to start a project you’ve wanted to, or to just take a moment and look at the beauty around you everyday.
Behind the Designs was founded in 2011 and this blog served as a place to discover all things related to beauty, fashion and style. Over the years its’ become a place where I can share my passion for planning, crafting, DIY and just living creatively. I hold degrees in both accounting and business administration. I always joke that I should’ve been a doctor by now for all the years I was taking classes! For anyone who knows these two fields….at the end of the day you need to have a creative outlet.
Before I started this creative lifestyle blog, I had started a successful handmade jewelry business. I was creating jewelry as a way to raise funds for a charity I had founded, Lungs for Life, in honor and memory of my brother. But I had so many other creative passions which guided me to start this blog. You could say, it’s a look from Behind the Designs of a handmade jewelry business.
